The Procurement & Sourcing specialisation track of the MSc in Operations & Supply Chain Management at University of Liverpool considers all the key components that contribute to an organisation’s profitability via its movement of goods and services through this global supply chain.

The global virtual classroom enables students to understand the practical and strategic implications of multinational supply chains and to learn directly from professional counterparts in other parts of the world.

In addition, it demonstrates how successful sourcing and procurement can shape and influence the sales and profit ambition of a business. The intent is also to provide students with a profound understanding of the processes and techniques for developing procurement and sourcing strategies whilst managing the operations and supply chain activities.

Six core modules cover core subjects such as:

• Strategic Operations Management
• Supply Chain Operations Management
• Logistics and International Trade
• Business Analysis
• Total Quality Management
• Lean Thinking

Students specialise by studying the Contracts and Procurement, and Financial and Legal Aspects of International Trade specialisation modules. The degree is completed with an original dissertation.

Prior to taking the MSc in Operations and Supply Chain Management (Procurement & Sourcing) from Laureate Online Education, the following are required:

• A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, or a degree from a recognised institution comparable and/or equivalent to a British Honours degree.
• Students with undergraduate degrees in Business, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or other quantitative disciplines will be especially well prepared for this degree.
• English language skills relevant to an online program and comparable to IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 550-570 or GCSE C.
